Written by Diana Ortiz, Marketing Associate, and Susan Arnot Heaney, Director, Marketing & Collaborating Company Engagement

The Rainforest Alliance celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2017, marking three decades of transforming land use practices, business practices and consumer behavior to help ensure strong forests and thriving communities.  These 30 years of positive impact were possible only with the commitment of thousands of companies throughout the decades and around the world – companies large and small committed to social and environmental sustainability. Kicking off the anniversary year is the Rainforest Alliance #FollowTheFrog Campaign, a program that activates citizens and companies to engage in special events from January 30 to February 12, 2017 to make a positive impact on the planet through brand choices and everyday actions.

Citizens are invited to sign on to the #FollowTheFrog 30-Day Sustainability Challenge, which includes a simple but meaningful step-by-step guide on how to #FollowTheFrog to a more sustainable tomorrow. A series of emails will deliver 30 inspiring tips for everyday actions that together can have a significant impact on a more sustainable future. Of course, individuals are always encouraged to look for the Rainforest Alliance Certified™ green frog seal when making purchase decisions every day, all year.

Companies that collaborate with Rainforest Alliance and offer Rainforest Alliance Certified™ products are also taking special action during #FollowTheFrog. Now through February 12, 2017, this page will be the place to find information on how companies across the globe are “following the frog”– educational events, special giveaways, social media, discounts on products with the Rainforest Alliance Certified™ seal and much more. Participating companies are listed below, and we invite you to check back regularly for newly added companies and activities.

(It is not too late! Does your business want to get involved in #FollowTheFrog? Take a look at our online toolkit for ideas on how to participate and get in touch! We can work with you to create a program during the January 30-February 12 period, or any time that is better aligned with your company objectives.
